Christie Gunn
Director / Tax Agent / Bookkeeping Manager
Christie completed an Advanced Diploma of Accounting
at Swinbourne University in 1996 and has been a bookkeeping
specialist and MYOB authorised representative
for the past 20 years.
A registered BAS, Tax agent and a member of ATAA,
Christie has worked for and assisted many accountants
across Melbourne. She specialises in MYOB training
and set up of cloud-based solutions and various payroll
issues and has also completed an advanced tax
preparation course in 2011.
Matt Mifsud
Tax Accountant
Matt has over 14 years experience in accounting and
specialises in tax preparation. Since graduating from
RMIT in 2012 with an Advanced Diploma of Accounting,
Matt’s experience includes the preparation and lodgment
of thousands of individual tax returns, as well as
partnership, company and trust financial statements and
lodgments.
Matt’s highly professional service underpins his
commitment to helping clients achieve their best possible
tax outcome.
In his personal time Matt enjoys engaging in volunteer
work, playing football and listening to music.
Julian Robertson
Tax Accountant / CPA
Julian joined EMS in 2017 and brings with him a wealth
of experience. He completed a Bachelor of Business
(Accounting) in 1998, receiving a high distinction for tax.
Julian has over 18 years of experience in Chartered
Accounting environments and specialises in all forms of
tax accounting for all entity types. He lives locally and enjoys overseas travel, running in his spare time and is a very loyal Essendon supporter.
Gayle Harris
Risk Manager
Gayle joined EMS in 2022 as our Risk Manager. Gayle
has a Diploma of Government (Workplace Inspection
/ Health and Safety), and has experience working in
Human Resources, as well as in health and safety.
She has worked in the private industry and with the
regulator in both Victoria and NZ with a myriad of
industries. At EMS, Gayle has a variety of roles, from
co-ordinating contractors to lodging Tax Returns/BAS
and ASIC management to name a few.
In her spare time, Gayle enjoys cooking and
spoiling her cats.
Hilary Jones
Tax Accountant
Originally from the UK, Hilary has a background in
international banking. For the last 30 years in Australia,
Hilary has worked in tax accounting, specialising in the
preparation of tax returns for individuals, employees,
people with investment income, rental properties,
and sole traders.
Outside of work Hilary enjoys travelling, all things French,
working in the garden, and relaxing with her cat.
