Robert is a local who returned from working overseas in 2004 and started at EMS with a view of taking over the busy practise from his father and completed an Advanced Diploma of Accounting at Chisolm. After 5 years in the industry he became a registered tax agent and has since completed various other courses in advanced taxation law, corporate law, trust law & SMSF structures.
He has a very down to earth practical approach to finding solutions for all his tax and small business clients and is not easily scared off by a challenge always looking for the simplest and most cost effective method to solving problems.
Robert used to be very active in competitive sports such as tennis and cycling but after getting married in 2012 and recently having a baby daughter has had to slow down a little but still remains the EMS table tennis champion taking on all challengers! He is also an avid car nut and classic car collector ready to chat about what constitutes a real car.
Julian's Robertson joined EMS in 2017 and brings with him a wealth of experience. He completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) in 1998 receiving a high distinction for tax.
He comes to EMS with 18 years experience in Chartered Accounting environments and specialises in all forms of tax accounting for all entity types.
He lives locally and enjoys overseas travel, running in his spare time and is a very loyal Essendon supporter.
Matthew joined EMS in 2015 after working in the city for a mid-tier firm.
He has completed an Advanced Diploma at RMIT in 2012 and more recently an Advanced Taxation Course and has fitted right in at EMS with his eager attitude and attention to detail. Matthew assists Robert daily with his work load and is very fast and proficient.
Outside of work hours he is plays football and is an active volunteer and guitarist.
Kerri recently joined EMS in 2015 after being employed for over 5 years in an accounting firm working as a bookkeeper, completing BAS preparation and tax returns.
She has completed Certificate IV in Bookkeeping through OTEN (TAFE NSW), and is in the process of completing the Advanced Diploma of Accounting. Kerri is also a member of ATAA.
Kerri loves outdoor activities such as kayaking, swimming, cycling paddle boarding, and loves adventure travel.
Julie started working part time with EMS in 2011 and recently completed a bachelor of Business and Commerce with High Distinctions for Taxation Law and was awarded the Monash University academic excellence award for Corporations Law and Trusts. She is currently completing a Masters in Applied Taxation at the University of NSW.
Julie has a background in small business and bookkeeping and has completed an advanced tax preparation course and assists with client’s annual tax lodgements and general advice.
Julie is a very quick thinker and has a very genuine passion to excel.
Julie grew up locally and is now married with 3 children and enjoys tennis, yoga and our local beaches in summer.
Christie completed an Advanced Diploma of Accounting at Swinbourne University in 1996 and has been a bookkeeping specialist and MYOB authorised representative for past 20 years working for and assisting many accountants across Melbourne. She is a registered BAS agent and member of ATAA and heads the EMS team of bookkeepers.
She specialises in MYOB training and set up of cloud based solutions and various payroll issues as well and has also completed an advanced tax preparation course in 2011.
Christie likes reading, hand crafts, swimming and travelling with her family when not hard at work.

Brendan has been working with EMS since 2012, specialising in business, property tax and complex compliance matters. He completed his Advanced Diploma of Accounting at Chisolm in 2006 achieving high distinctions and the highest collective graded results in the history of the course to this date.
Brendan has a wealth of knowledge on all entity types and specialist accounting such as private rulings, complex audits and larger property transaction concerns.
Brendan has been awarded the highest standard in accounting being a Fellow accountant by three separate accounting bodies and is currently studying to be a Chartered Tax Accountant.
